Absolutely Beautiful! The 1.3 mile walk around the base can be navigated at your own pace, is paved, and benches are located strategically offering amazing views and opportunities for sitting and taking it all in.
What a beautiful sight!! A great experience for kids and adults. I am So grateful for a Country that sees these monuments as important to preserve.
Small park but a very relaxing place to visit. I've been here a couple of times and will continue to stop there every time I can and am in the area.
This should be your first stop when visiting DT... history lesson on signage, plus great area for a photo op... plenty of easy access for RVs and Trailers...
So glad we detoured to see this beautiful "rock". We took the short hike around the base. As promised the view changed as we walked around. It was better than Mt. Rushmore!
