Awesome place. Took the 1.3 mile walk around the tower. Just beautiful. The first National Monument. Highly recommend.
We stopped here to stretch our legs and eat a quick sandwich on our way to Devil's Tower. We sat down at a picnic table out front and within a couple minutes, we were spoken to very rudely by a gentleman who said the picnic tables cost $5 to use. I explained that I did not realize that and would be happy to leave or pay for the table. He said we needed to pay for the table which I did. Honestly if he had been more polite and nicer, I would not only have paid the $5 but i would have purchased something in his shop. Because of his attitude, I only paid the fee which basically cost me a dollar per minute of use for one picnic table. Your sign out front states you are a Christian business but your demeanor was anything but Christian. I would never visit your store again. If I could give negative star rating, I would.

Eclectic selection in the gift shop, overseen by a fairly creepy animatronic cowboy. Check out the $8 dish towels, I’m convinced they’re made out of someone’s old T-shirt.
The folks who run this store and campground are such nice people. They had the prettiest, locally made, hair accessories which I purchased for my daughter. They have refreshments and beer.
